You can make a difference

The Food Baskets for Seniors Program can have a big impact on the fight against hunger in our community. Helping senior citizens in your community is one of the ways that you can give back. There are many ways to help.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Food Sorting
When product is donated to the Food Pantry, it often needs to be sorted, cleaned and repackaged. Volunteers are needed to assist with the cleaning and packaging of the food process every day.

All volunteers are asked to complete a liability release prior to participating in the programs at the Food Pantry. Minors must have the release signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Minimum age for volunteering is 14 years old.

Food Delivery

Volunteers are needed to take food baskets to homebound seniors.  We are looking for volunteers to make three to five deliveries one day out of the week to homebound seniors. Donating two hours of your time one day a week can be a real blessing.

Fund-Raising Experience Program
Care For The Children provides paid positions and work experience with on-the-job training to interested individuals. Individuals can take part in Care For The Children fundraising efforts that help pay the many bills involved in the operation of the charity.

Special Events and Food Drives
Care For The Children is constantly involved with Food Drives and Special Fund- Raising Events. Volunteers perform a wide range of duties, depending on the event.
